#2 - John Lennon's 58' Rickenbacker 325 Capri

Next up most valuable guitar also comes from the Beatles. Yep this is the one that John Lennon brought up with him from the early Hamburg days to the metoeric rise of the Beatles. Seen on the Ed Sullivan shows and used for recording all the way up to the double fantasy album. This is another instrument that you wont see on the auction block anytime soon. Currently owned by Yoko and on display at the Beatles museum in Japan.

He only used this guitar up to the first Ed Sullivan show in 1964. He was given a new one around the same time that George got his 12 string, and used this one from then on. John also received a 12 string version which he used only once. Check out The Beatles in Holland where at certain points you can clearly see the 12 tuning pegs and the different non tremelo tail piece. www.paulgriggs.com
